Having grown up playing the blues, singer and bassist Danielle Nicole first found fame as a founding member of Trampled Under Foot, the band she started with her two brothers, Kris and Nick. Only picking up the bass to keep Trampled Under Foot a family band, Nicole took to it like a duck to water, which resulted in her becoming the first woman to win the Blues Foundation’s 2014 Blues Music Award for Best Instrumentalist, Bass. Nicole released her first solo album, Wolf Den, in 2015 to rave reviews. In 2018 it was followed by its successor Cry No More, which peaked at number 1 in the Billboard Top Blues Albums chart. With her band, rounded out by guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Miller and drummer Rodd Bland, she is once again bringing the blues to Holland.
