A guitar legend is coming to Grolloo! Jeff Beck is considered one of the best guitar players in the world; he was ranked fifth in Rolling Stone’s list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". As soon as he heard Les Paul play the electric guitar on the radio at age 6, Beck’s path was paved. As a teenager he learned to play on a borrowed guitar and made several attempts to build his own instrument. Fairly soon, he started playing in bands and perfecting his skills. In the sixties, he was recruited to succeed Eric Clapton as the lead guitarist for legendary band The Yardbirds, a position Jimmy Page took after Beck, who then started his own Jeff Beck Group, also featuring Ron Wood and Rod Stewart. In his long career, Beck received eight Grammy’s, was inducted in the Rock ’n Roll Hall of Fame twice and worked with many artists, ranging from Mick Jagger to Tina Turner and from Stevie Wonder to Les Paul. His latest release is his 2017 album Live At The Hollywood Bowl, celebrating 50 years in music.
