Peter Frampton’s long-awaited debut at the festival is bitter sweet: the guitar hero has embarked on a Farewell tour due to a progressive and debilitating muscle disorder which is bringing his legendary career to an end. London-born Frampton was discovered at a young age by then-Rolling Stone Bill Wyman. He started his musical career as the singer and guitarist in The Herd before starting Humple Pie, still only 18 years of age. After leaving the band, Frampton moved to the US to begin a solo career and released five records in five years. The last one, 1976’s live album Frampton Comes Alive!, caused his big breakthrough. The rest is history, as they say: selling over 8 million copies in the US alone, the album hosted hit singles such as Show Me The Way and Baby, I Love Your Way. A true 70s rock icon is coming to Grolloo!
