When rock dinosaur Ozzy Osbourne personally asks you to go on tour with him and Black Sabbath, you must be doing something right. Ever since Californian band Rival Sons was founded in 2009, they have been steadily building a following in the US and Europe. Especially with their second album Pressure And Time, the band firmly put themselves on the map, opening for other acts such as AC/DC and Alice Cooper as well. Nowadays, they headline their own shows, as well as playing large festivals like Rock Am Ring and Pinkpop. On their latest album, Hollow Bones, there is no room for doubt where Rival Sons get their inspiration. The firm rock sound is reminiscent of a mix between Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and The Black Crowes. Add to that the voice and looks of singer Jay Buchanan, and images of Robert Plant and Jim Morisson come to mind. Songs like Keep On Swinging and Electric Man have become audience favorites.
