Walter Trout performed at the festival in 2016 as part of The Supersonic Blues Machine, also featuring Billy Gibbons and Robben Ford. Now he’s back in his owm right! Trout is the beating heart of the modern blues rock scene, respected by the old guard, revered by the young guns, and adored by the fans who shake his hand after the show each night. After five decades in the game, Trout is a talismanic figure and part of the glue that bonds the blues community together. Trout struck out on his own in 1989 after playing with Canned Heat and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, and has since enjoyed an immensely successful solo career. He released classic albums such as 1990’s Life In The Jungle, 1998’s Walter Trout, his breakthrough album, and 2012’s Blues For The Modern Daze. An unofficial sequel to 2006’s cameo-fuelled Full Circle, last year saw the release of We’re All In This Together, featuring an all-star lineup including John Mayall, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his son, Jon Trout.
