DEWOLFF
Thursday 9 June
Although still being considered a young band, DeWolff has been around for more than ten years. Robin Piso and brothers Luka and Pablo van de Poel form a highly electrified Hammond-driven power trio. To date, they have released nine studio albums, three live albums, won an Edison (prestigious Dutch award), and recorded an album with Black Keys producer Mark Neill. DeWolff breathe music, as they say themselves, and have played over a 1,000 shows all over Europe, Australia, Indonesia and Russia, preaching their “explosive mix of bluesrock with a dash of soul and psychedelica”. Their eighth studio album, ‘Tascam Tapes’, was released in early 2020, just before the start of the pandemic. But these guys won’t let corona hold them back: only a year later they released their ninth album, ‘Wolffpack’, which they presented by livestream. The following March they performed each of their albums integrally in a series of nine livestream concerts, before releasing a live album recorded in legendary Dutch theatre Carré together with Metropole Orkest.
