ERWIN JAVA’S TRAVEL PARTY FEATURING ERWIN NYHOFF PLAY CUBY & THE BLIZZARDS; SPECIAL GUEST TINEKE SCHOEMAKER
Saturday 11 June
When people talk about the town of Grolloo, a mention of Harry Muskee is never far away. Together with his band Cuby & The Blizzards the singer gained a legendary status; there’s even a C+B Museum. And naturally the fifth anniversary of a festival set up in his spirit needs a special tribute! Last year marked the tenth anniversary of Muskee’s passing. Enough of a reason for Erwin Java, who was the band’s guitarist since 1986, to create the theatre show ‘Muskee – So Many Roads’. The role of Harry was played by singer Erwin Nyhoff. Now, both Erwins are taking their hommage to the festival. Tineke Schoemaker will be special guest; she’s the singer of bluesband Barrelhouse and also sang on Cuby’s 2000 album ‘Hotel Grolloo’. Java has performed at the festival before, playing Cuby’s hit ‘Window Of My Eyes’ together with Laurence Jones in 2018.
