HOLLAND INTERNATIONAL BLUES FESTIVAL POSTPONED UNTIL 2021

The Dutch government has just prolonged the ban on large events as a measure against the spread of the corona virus. Unfortunately, as a result we are forced to postpone our festival until next year. We are obviously very sorry about that, but at the same time agree wholeheartedly with any measures that are necessary to stop the virus as well and quickly as possible.

Preparations for the HIBF were well on their way. We dedicate ourselves to the festival with much enthusiasm every year and were looking forward to celebrate the 5th anniversary together with you. But as initiator Johan Derksen rightly commented: “A festival has to be a party. No organizer wants to be the source of a new corona explosion. This is too bad, but we’re counting on our loyal blues lovers to join us in Grolloo next year.”

Naturally, we are already thinking about the festival in 2021. The new dates have been selected: we hope to bring back the Holland International Blues Festival to Grolloo on June 10, 11 and 12. Tickets remain valid; all ticket buyers will receive an email with detailed information about this as well as about ‘Save your ticket, enjoy later’, the industry-wide initiative we support. You can also find information on our website here.

We wish everybody the best in these insecure times and want to especially thank the many people working hard to overcome this crisis. We are in this together!
