JOHN FOGERTY
Friday 9 June
Last year didn’t work out for this absolute legend, but he is determined to be there this time. With a career spanning five decades, John Fogerty is one of the most influencial musicians in rock history. He found fame as the lead singer, lead guitarist, and principal songwriter of Creedence Clearwater Revival, enjoying now-classic hit singles such as Down On The Corner, Bad Moon Rising, and Green River. After the band disbanded in 1972, Fogerty embarked on solo career. Rolling Stone honored him as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers. During the Covid crisis, Fogerty started recording music at home with his sons and daughter, resulting in a weekly video series and an EP, Fogerty’s Factory, which was released in 2020 on his 75th birthday and later extended to a full album. In 2021 he released an EP, Freedom.
