WALTER TROUT
Friday 10 June
After debuting at this festival in 2016 as part of The Supersonic Blues Machine, also featuring Billy Gibbons and Robben Ford, Walter Trout came back with his own band in 2018. After five decades, Trout is the beating heart of the modern blues rock scene; respected by the old guard, revered by the young guns, and adored by the fans who shake his hand after the show each night. After playing with Canned Heat and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Trout struck out on his own in 1989 and has since enjoyed an immensely successful solo career. He released classic albums such as 1990’s ‘Life In The Jungle’, 1998’s ‘Walter Trout’, his breakthrough album, and 2012’s ‘Blues For The Modern Daze’. ‘We’re All In This Together’, featuring an all-star lineup including John Mayall, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his son, Jon Trout, was released in in 2017. His latest album, ‘Ordinary Madness’, saw the light in 2020.
